Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd (TCL), the publicly owned flagship company of the group, manufactures organic acids, anhydrides and derivatives for the plastics, paints, resin industries and additives for the food and feed industry.  TCL has production facilities in India & Malaysia and ranks among the largest global producers of Phthalic Anhydride, Maleic Anhydride, Fumaric Acid and Malic Acid.

Key People

R Parthasarathy: “Sarathy” is the Managing Director of Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd, Chairman of TCL Industries, Malaysia, and Co-founder of LAPIZ.  He is a chemical engineer from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has extensive experience in setting up, project execution,  operation and maintenance, efficiency improvement of large chemical manufacturing complexes, change management of complex business processes & outsourcing businesses in India, USA, Europe, and the Asean. 

T V Ramaswamy - Principal Consultant: An Electrical Engineer and a post graduate in statistical quality control and operational research, has over 30 years of EAM expertise in  materials and maintenance management in various industrial sectors.  He was the Joint Managing Director of Hofincons before he took charge of LTS.  He has successfully lead many EAM assignments in India and abroad.

Ms Indira S Rajan: Co-Founder of Lapiz and currently CEO,  a chemical engineer, has extensive experience in business development, technology & management, software consultancy in technical document management and systems development in document conversion.

S Subramanian - Advisor: A mechanical engineer with a  masters degree in Business Administration, has over 40 years of maintenance, materials & production management expertise at senior and top management levels in chemical industry.  He was the Executive Director, Chemplast Sanmar Ltd before he joined Lapiz.  He plays an active role in Indian Chemical Manufacturers Association (ICMA), and was its president during the year 1998—2000.

V Ravichandar: An instrumentation engineer with additional qualification in computer applications has over 20 years of EAM expertise in maintenance management, Reliability Centered Maintenance, Root  Cause Failure Analysis and competency based technical training in India & overseas.  He is a Six-Sigma green belt.
